Hemingworth Thread is a beautiful yet very strong thread that can be used for various applications. We have used this thread on everything from a simple home sewing machine to a long-arm to a commercial embroidery machine running at 1500 stitches-per-minute. Across all of these machines this thread performed well above Robinson Anton (Poly and Rayon) and Madeira threads. We have carried this brand for a long period of time and taken it to dozens of shows. To this day we constantly hear how wonderful the thread behaves and how beautifully it shines. Hemingworth Thread is a tri-lobal 40 wt. polyester thread. Each spool contains 1000m (1250 yards) of thread.

One unique aspect of this thread is the canister surrounding it. The canister is both a storage solution and a way to continuously achieve a smooth supply of thread. With this canister your thread is protected from dirt, dusty and the drying effects of the sun. This canister will provide you with the optimal conditions and a long shelf life. The rubber cap on the top of the canister allows the thread to be fed from the top. It also provides a small amount of friction which provides for a very smooth thread feed. As most quilters know a smooth thread feed is essential to getting a uniform stitch length; especially if you do not use a stitch regulator. The days of your spools unwinding too fast and getting stuck behind the spool pin are done.
